I don't understand how a gas heating system does not use a chimney. The exhaust gases have to leave building somehow.Do the exhaust gases get forced out a PVC pipe out the side of house.Newer high efficient systems vent exhaust gases this way.If this is the way your system is set up, a heat exchanger and a hot water tank should be able to be added to your boiler ,if that is what you have.Tank less heaters are much more efficient but they are very expensive.Do you want to save money or save energy? It could take 10 to 15 years for a tank less heater to pay for itself. If it lasts that long.
