Does Anyone Have A Tankless Water Heater? How Much Was It And Do You Like It?

I know someone with one and they love it. You can get a good one for around $500.00. Installation will cost somewhat, but if you are a do-it-yourself kind of person you can save some bucks. If your hot water heater that you have now is electric, and you buy an electric tankless heater, it is a simple changeout. The tankless unit mounts on the wall, and you should be able to connect copper flex lines from the new unit to the existing plumbing. Make sure that the breaker for the old heater is the same amperage required for new one. If you decide to get a gas tankless unit, I woluld suggest one that is for exterior installation. It mounts on an outside wall so there is no need for exhaust ventilation. Tankless heaters cost more upfront, but the savings on your utility bills will be amazing.

My brother has one and absolutely loves it. I plan on installing one this year.
They can range from $300 to $1500, depending on the size and brand.

I looked into them earlier this year and from what I found was the cost of the tankless heater was affordable, but the installation was not (we got a couple quotes around the 1.5-2k range, just for the installation).
