And if heat exchanger uses an electric element to supply heat energy to the water, then this model is the electric tankless hot water heater.

All the gas heaters are not identical. Every manufacture delegates some rating to the gas tankless hot water heater. This rating will determine how much water per hour, gas water heater can supply.
