It’s a tankless water heater, so it shouldn’t be holding gallons of water. It can provide 4.0 gallons per minute when it’s heating the water going through it by 45 degrees Fahrenheit, or 2.3 gallons per minute when the water temperature is increased by 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
