I would say that it should not cost more than $200, probably a little less.
but I have not had to hire any plumbing done in some time, I have been doing my own.
This site can get you the prices and links to help choose which one you need.
Hope that this helps

I found bend oregon plumbing and I was under the impression that regular water heaters can be better and cheaper in the long run. Maybe the tankless systems are for plumbers to make extra money.

I got an outside unit which cost me about 900 for the tank and 700 for installation. Not just any water heater installer can do tankless installations though so be sure to ask specifically about tankless. I got the big tank so I wouldn’t have to worry about volume. You may get out for less if you don’t need much repiping but you will have to get a stainless steel vent more than likely since regular water heaters vents aren’t usually stainless steel. I really like mine though so far, I’ve had it for about 3 months now. Make sure you get a unit that includes a controller for going higher than 120 degrees F. That’s really not that hot and some units will be set so that is their highest temperature. Keep in mind that you’ll be eligible for a $300 income tax savings next year.
