I Have A Titan Tankless Water Heater That Is Suddenly Tripping It’s 60 Amp Breaker Every Time We Use Hot Water

We’ll reset the breaker & it will be fine for a few minutes and then trip again.We’ve had it for over a year with no problems.
Anyone have any ideas the remedy this situation?

sounds like there is a short somewhere in the heater. It could also be a shorted element (the only way to test them is with a multimeter). INSURE THE POWER IS OFF and then remove the cover and look for any visible signs of damage like a burn mark or arked wires. If the unit is newer one, it might be cost effective to replace the defective part, once it is tracked down.

first make sure that the 60 amp breaker it the right size and the connections are right. if its a GFI breaker make sure there is no water going to the electric board and connections.

One or more of the heating elements has gone bad,and will have to be replaced to correct the problem.

also, your breaker may have become weak……

I think you may have a shorted out element. That is a good place to start looking.
