I wanted the Bosch tankless water heater but that’s b/c I used to do work for their company & I heard great reviews from products & service though not specifically for the water heater. I was just going for company image. This link will let you see both electric & gas models from home page. http://www.boschhotwater.com/ See the option boxes on left side of page.
    B4 I buy, I do 3 checks. Snopes.com / Ripoffreports.com / & end with a search of “rate bosch hot water heater.”

Check with your local hardware store or lumber yard. Go to sites like Lowes.com or homedepot.com. Keep in mind if it is a gas hot water tank you will have to change out the size of the gas line too leading up to it if this is the first time to add one. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/appli…

Check information online. Do not think you are saving money by purchasing a cheap unit. Make sure your water is not hard or contains high mineral content since these will clog a tankless heater. Installation should be done by a Pro since the warranty will be voided on most units if not. Gas units will be more expensive to install since they require vent piping. Rinnai is one unit I constanly hear good things about.

Of course electric is an easier install: Did you know that 220 is more efficient? consumersearch.com has some reviews

A great resource and place to start is http://www.tanklesswaterheaters.com. Do you want a gas or an electric unit? How many simultaneous uses for hot water? Paloma is a great brand that has several safety features.
