Need To Replace Home Hot Water Heater?

Posted on | December 14, 2009 | 3 Comments

I need to replace a 40-gallon hot water heater in my home. What can you tell me about hot water heaters? What’s new and efficient on today’s market? What’s out there and what should I be looking for? How do I determine if I need greater than 40-gallon capacity? Gas, electric, tankless?

First of all there is no such thing as a hot water heater except in steam plants. If there are teenagers a tankless water heater is best more up front cost may have to have the plumbing or electric changed. AH but after taking a hot shower for hours on end thats priceless.

New tankless is the best if you have the money it will actually pay for it self but pricey to start with

Depends on size of house, number of baths and type of use, area of country your in, what utilities you have access to, etc…
Best bet, go to a home supply spot, and find a knowledgeable rep that can have a conversation with you to get the info required.
